Getting around Singapore

The public transport system is fast and efficient and will whizz you to memorable attractions without fuss. Most public signage is expressed in English.

Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) system is one of the fastest ways to zip around the city. The extensive rail network means that most of Singapore’s key attractions are within walking distance from an MRT station. Singapore’s trains and stations are accessible to wheelchair users and the visually impaired as well as families with strollers. If you are staying at the Grand Copthorne Waterfront, head on to Havelock MRT station, which is a 2-minute walk from the hotel and explore the city with ease.

Alternatively, hail a taxi by the roadside or queue for one at a taxi stand which is found at most shopping malls, hotels and tourist attractions. Taxis here are metered, but there may be surcharges depending on when, where and which company’s taxi you board.

Singapore’s bus system has an extensive network of routes as well, covering most places at an economical price. Soak in the sights and sounds of the city on a double-decker bus while cooling off in the comfort of our air-conditioned fleet.
